Like it or not, Northlane just won an award for being the most ridiculously equipped Metal band in 2014. Their guitarist Josh Smith does a “quick” gear rundown for you in the video below and by “quick” I mean a nearly 16 minute-long tour-de-force through a shit-ton of gear that costs a shit-ton of money and is connected with a shit-ton of cables.
I lost track of how all this works at around the 1-minute-mark, but the video still was absolutely fascinating to watch. It seems like they outdid every psychodelic band’s backline-setup since, like… forever?!
I’m not so sure if all of this is real, though. At around 4:00 minutes into the video you can hear someone giggle in the background. Maybe they just patched together every pedal they could find and did this video just to make fun of you. 😉
